Vehicle Mechanic IMMEDIATE HIRING! MECHANIC Full-Time Opportunity!!$20.00-$30.00 per hour We're hiring a Fleet Mechanic who provides preventive maintenance and repairs on fleet vehicles as assigned by Fleet Manager. Responsibilities: Perform front line mechanic inspections, preventive maintenance and electrical repairs on both diesel and gasoline vehicles per Rural Metro Fleet Policy and ProceduresRespond to vehicle breakdowns in the field when requestedComplete all required vehicle repair and maintenance paperwork and documentation using Rural Metro repair work orders and Rural Metro Fleet Maintenance Software (RTA)Respond promptly to road calls, accurately diagnose, and perform quality repairsThoroughly document vehicle repairs and maintenance including a complete accounting of all labor hours, parts, and materials usedProvide excellent customer service and maintain a respectful working relationship with all fleet and operations personnel; display professional conduct with outside suppliers and contactsIdentify and report existing and potential safety concerns to Fleet Supervision Minimum Required Qualifications:

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent education
• Must have four years of verifiable experience as a Class C - Associate Mechanic, and automotive knowledge and skills necessary to perform maintenance and repairs on Company vehicles
• ASE and/or EVT Certifications strongly preferred
• Must have a current and valid Arizona driver's license
• Must have a full set of personal tools needed to complete basic automotive repairs:
  • Rachets: 1/4", 3/8", 1/2" Drive
  • Sockets: SAE and Metric, Standard and Deep
  • Extensions: Short, Medium, Long - 1/4", 3/8", 1/2" Drive
  • 1/2" Drive Impact Wrench that can R &R wheels
  • Combination Wrenches: 1/4" thru 1-1/8" and 6MM thru 24MM
  • Screwdrivers: Flat blade, small/med/large & Phillips, #0, #1, #2
  • Pliers: Channel lock, long nose, linesman, wire strippers, crimpers
  • Punches: Straight, Center Punch, chisels
  • Hammers: Ball pein, dead blow, soft, sledge
  • Pickle Forks
  • Oil Filter Wrench
  • Test light, LED (Power probe or similar is fine)
  • Multimeter: Voltage-OHMS-AMPS
