• Certification Details
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support required for RNs in certain units.
• BLS - Basic Life Support required for all RNs, Techs, and some other positions.
• PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support required for RNs in specific areas.
• NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure required for RNs in certain units.
• CNOR - Certified Nurse (OR) required for specific RN positions.
• Tech Cert Verification - National required for certain technical staff.
  • Job Details
  • 1 year in acute care. Also need 3-5 years acute care experience.
  • Screen for 2+ years acute care experience.
    • Job Requirements
    • 2 Years of experience
    • Accepts first time travelers
    • BSN or MSN, BLS
    • Must have both discharge planning and utilization review
      • Schedule Information
      • Dual role: discharge planning & Utilization review, average case load 15-18 M-F, 30 Sat/Sun.
      • Patient population: ED, ED Inpatients, cardiovascular, BMT, Onc, Surg/ONC, Ortho, Neuro, ICU, NICU, Mom/Baby, Palliative services, Med/surg, Tele.
      • Floating Requirements: Floating to other UCSD sites
      • Weekend Shift Requirements: Every other weekend
        • Unit Specific Information
        • Discharge planning & Utilization review as a dual role.
        • Average case load 15-18 patients M-F, 30 patients Sat/Sun.
          • Additional Details
          • ACLS is required for RNs working in specific units.
          • Certifications by Unit are housed in the facility profile.
          • Certain certifications may be required depending on the unit.
